UX/UI Design
Interfaces that feel obvious. I start from user research and information architecture, then iterate from wireframe to high-fidelity prototype and a documented design system developers enjoy using.

I’m Berat Zekaj, 32. I’m based in Amsterdam Noord, though I find myself back in Peja, Kosovo, more often than you’d think.
With a background in Communication & Multimedia Design, I spent time as a frontend developer before returning to my roots. Today, I teach UX/UI, service design, and digital innovation at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, the same place I once studied. Alongside lecturing, I run my own practice as a trainer and freelance designer.
My focus goes beyond the screen. Completing a Master’s in Economic Transformation taught me to zoom out and look at the systemic frameworks and behavioral shifts behind complex, wicked problems.
Off the clock, you’ll find me deep into fashion, whether that’s hunting down Japanese streetwear or adding a new pair of Salomons to my footwear collection. People describe me as determined, a little shy at first, and quicker with a joke than you’d expect.
I design and build interfaces, services and design systems.
I help students make sense of technology, design and people.
I work on the bigger picture, from circular thinking to how organisations change.
Interfaces that feel obvious. I start from user research and information architecture, then iterate from wireframe to high-fidelity prototype and a documented design system developers enjoy using.
Every touchpoint, front stage and back stage. With journey maps, service blueprints and co-creation sessions I align teams around the experience people actually have, and the organisation behind it.
Exploring what’s next, responsibly. From AI concepts to creative technology, I help teams test new ideas quickly and weigh their impact on people, organisations and society.
