Melt type
Pick an open source font, blur it, then snap it back to solid. Letters swell, drip and fuse into liquid shapes. Everything happens in your browser; export as PNG or SVG.
This tool needs JavaScript: it draws your text on a canvas, blurs it and traces the result.

How it works
- Set the type. Your text is drawn in the font you picked. All fonts in the list are open source (OFL or Apache) via Google Fonts, so you can use the result anywhere.
- Blur it. A Gaussian blur smears every letter into a soft cloud. Where letters sit close together, their clouds overlap and add up.
- Threshold it. Every pixel above a cut-off becomes ink, everything below becomes paper. The overlaps turn into bridges and blobs, the same trick designers do in Illustrator with blur plus Image Trace.
- Trace it. For SVG, the outline is traced with marching squares, so you get clean vector paths to edit further.
About the fonts
Fonts from the list are loaded from Google Fonts when you pick them, so this page (and only this page) talks to Google's font servers. Uploaded fonts never leave your device.
